In my top three of foods I miss the most from Denmark, you will definitely find rye bread, or ‘rugbrød’ in Danish. Since moving to Canada almost three years ago, I’ve not yet been able to find any type of bread that comes even close to resembling classic Danish rye bread. I did once buy a rye bread from a Danish bakery store here in Toronto, but I have to say even that, despite its original recipe, was rather a disappointment. So we’ve come to the end of this epic Game…far too soon it seems. And so, we’ve also come to our last two drinks celebrating the last two Houses of Westeros. The night closes in…
As hoped for, and expected, the final season of GOT only got better with the second episode. What an amazing scene where all our beloved characters gather around the fireplace in the silence before the storm! It is bittersweet, though, because at the back of our minds we know that next Sunday these our favorites will start to go…one by one… Yes, it fills us with fear, horror and fury, but alas, that is what keeps us glued to the screen… They certainly seem convinced themselves, except perhaps for Tyrion, that they’re all going to die, so we kind of know what we’re in for this Sunday!
